Mark's hot air

Early Saturday morning Mark crawled out of bed to meet our friends for the ride of his life! (I'm starting to realize that Mark has been doing his most memorable things with friends...hmmmm) Anyway, he really did have the time of his life.

Our friends, the Blegers, had invited our family for the balloon launch although I decided that getting our kids up at 6am, bundling them up for cold weather, driving them to the launch and letting them watch, all after being up late on Friday night sounded a bit challenging to say the least. So I figured this was something Mark could do and I would stay home with the kids.

When he got home that afternoon he had a perma-grin for the rest of the day. He had so much fun! I've stolen some pictures off of facebook for my blog. Thanks to Mark and Tiffany for the blog pictures :)

Here's Mark displaying his perma-grin.
Getting his instructions from his pilot. Jerome is on Mark's left.
Ready for launch!
Some pictures from the balloon.

This is the balloon that Mark rode in. Here they are landing.

God is the God of our yesterdays. He allows us the memory of them so we can turn the past into the ministry for the future.

"I don't think you can explain how Christian faith works. It is a mystery. And I love this about Christian spirituality. It cannot be explained, and yet it is beautiful and true. It is something you feel, and it comes from the soul."
