Fun on Friday 32 - {Swimming!}

Yes it's been over a week since I last posted. This week was busy but at the same time uneventful. Nothing really blog worthy. I suppose I can post pictures of my kids' new beds from Ikea and the pictures my sister sent me from sledding... and maybe I will. Later.

For now I'll post a couple cute ones.

On this day that the Broncos will play, I had to post my little niece Tebowing. Hysterical! This was totally not staged and not on purpose {she's only 10 months old!} but hilarious none-the-less. Love her!
And I seriously think Tim Tebow is awesome. Kale was given Tebow's autobiography for Christmas and we've been reading it together and this guy is an amazing role model. Such a sweet and generous person. I get tired of people making fun of him. He never asked for it and certainly doesn't deserve it. He loves people and he's not ashamed of his Savior. I admire him. He challenges me!

As for our Fun on Friday we headed to the Rec Center to go swimming. The church blessed us with a 6 month family pass and I have a feeling most of the next months will be spent swimming! Now I just need to get them lessons....
We had lunch afterwards and then small group last night.

Today is being spent relaxing. Maybe finally taking down the outside Christmas lights.

Maybe.

Showcasing Lilah

I had to have a random post with pictures that my cousin Amy took of my gorgeous niece. I love them.

I warned her...

I warned my sister that if she kept sending me adorable pictures of my niece that I would just have to post them.

So here are a couple!

Is this the most precious picture ever!?
Love the glasses.
Love the bow.
Love that baby.
I can't get enough of those leg rolls. The only time when it's incredibly adorable.
I'm so looking forward to when I get to kiss on those precious cheeks again!

Can't. Handle. The. Cuteness!

So back to the amazing cuteness that is newborns, especially ones related to me....

There isn't much to say about the whole thing. Just gotta show the pictures. She's pretty much perfect and snuggles right in and sleeps. She smells wonderful! I love little babies :)

Kale is incredibly excited and very sweet. He held her several times while we were there. Talking to her. Cooing at her. He's loving the whole cousin thing.
Kate is happy to share the granddaughter/niece title with this little one :)
Before we left we got some cousin pictures. I had to post a bunch since they were kinda funny taking them. Lilah is not screaming in this picture although it may look like it.
Not sure what Jack is laughing at....None of the pictures are perfect but they were definitely worth posting. I just kept snapping away to try and get a good one.

This one is with Lilah's "brother" Cutler. He wanted to be included.
I love how Jack looks like an advertisement for Lilah.
"It's a baby!"
And we're done.

Thankful Thursday

This Thursday I have a sweet little 8lb 9oz beauty to be thankful for. I know it seems like I'm a little overexcited to be an aunt but who cares. I am! Not only is this my first time, but this angel is here - I believe - because of prayers.My sister had an ultrasound and they told her that they suspected something was very wrong. The Dr saw a couple things that led him to believe she would be born disabled. I don't think he was a very good Dr, nor did he have patient/Dr skills, but that's another story. My sis and I prayed for Lilah and when they went back in for the next ultrasound they found nothing! You could say that there wasn't anything there to begin with and that they read it wrong but you could also say God made it that way. I like to believe that God worked it out.Then several weeks before she was due they had another ultrasound because my sister was measuring small and they were worried that something was wrong, again, with Lilah. Either she was small or Meghan was not making enough amniotic fluid. Again, I prayed, and again God answered. The ultrasound showed that she was fine. And she was 8 1/2#! Not small.I am so thankful to God for His hand in this little angel's life."For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

She's here!

My littlest sister, Meghan, had her baby girl at 3am this morning. Her gorgeous name is Lilah Kelly Leadford. She's beautiful! She's got hair! {my babies never had hair so a baby with hair is fabulous to me} and she's a full pound bigger than my biggest baby - Jack.

She's perfect and as soon as I have permission to post a picture I will most definitely be doing it. Can I tell you how thrilled I am to love another baby like they've loved mine?! It's amazing. I can't wait to hold her and have her cousins meet her. They were bouncing off the walls last night when we told them she was being born. They also prayed for her which was so sweet.

Welcome to the family Lilah!

God is the God of our yesterdays. He allows us the memory of them so we can turn the past into the ministry for the future.

"I don't think you can explain how Christian faith works. It is a mystery. And I love this about Christian spirituality. It cannot be explained, and yet it is beautiful and true. It is something you feel, and it comes from the soul."
