Fishin'

I said in my last post that there were more fishin' pictures and here they are.

After church and naps on Sunday we headed over to the campground for some fishing and pancakes (can't eat the fish...catch and release...and who says fishing and pancakes don't mix?) The kids were super excited...Until none of the fish were biting...
'I'm gonna catch it in here K?'
At this point Kale is the only child who somewhat has the patience and the coordination to cast and reel it in. He did a really good job casting. Too bad the fish weren't biting much.
Boy is he handsome!
Finally Grandpa got one to bite and he let Kale help reel it in. Kale was just fine with it until they asked him if he wanted to touch it. He responded with a resounding no. We could barely get him close enough to take a picture with it!But we finally did...And then Doug had to give the fish fish-CPR {did you even know there was such a thing?} because we had him out of the water too long. But the little guy {both Kale and the fish} survived the ordeal and took a nice picture together.

'That's not a stick. That's a stick!!'
{Crocodile Dundee reference...sorry couldn't help it}
After our pancake dinner we went for a walk around the beautiful park and took pictures. Here are a few.
Mark used the kids to help make sure the light was right for pictures. Here they are "helping" him. Jack is wielding his sword/fly swatter.
He used them so we could take the picture at the top and this one...
Aren't we a lovely bunch?
And this one. Adorable!Aren't these flowers gorgeous?! They are everywhere. This is a hollowed out log/planter box. Genius!
And that was our Sunday in a big nutshell.

God is the God of our yesterdays. He allows us the memory of them so we can turn the past into the ministry for the future.
